Main Street comes alive every Second Friday!

Over 70 artists every 2nd Friday.  Want to join the fun?  You've come to the right place! Space is free and there is no commission taken! Art work must be original.   Remember, you must have a current City of Mesa sales tax license to sell certain types of art.  Please check with the city to make sure you are in compliance.  Click here for more sales tax info.

How you can participate...

Artists:

When an artist registers but doesn't attend, it leaves a "hole" and makes the event less professional for those presenting.  So, by filling out the form below and submitting it, you can consider yourself accepted as long as you are an artist showing original, not manufactured, art.  You will receive a confirmation via email that you have been accepted.  On the afternoon of the event you will report to the OneOhOne Gallery at 101 W. Main on the SE corner of Main and Macdonald to sign in and receive your booth assignment.  Registration will be open from 4:30-6:00.

Merchandise, Non-Profits, and Service Vendors:

We do not accept ready made merchandise for sale at this event.  If you have a service or product related to the monthly theme, please contact us for consideration.  If you are a non-profit organization that would like to hand out information, we will have a specified area for these at this month's event but you must apply and be accepted by filling out the registration form.

Food Vendors:

Because this event is sponsored by the local merchants and restaurants, we do not permit food vendors that compete with local restaurants but do allow some snack type food vendors.  You will need to call Suzanne Woodford to apply by phone to be accepted as a food vendor.  602-318-5689.

Street Performers:

We will have a special area dedicated to performance arts this month.  Apply by phone to Cameron at 602-769-9857 or email at cameron@ilvinaio.com if you would like to be a performer to be accepted.  Family friendly performances are welcome.  You will work for "tips" but your space is free.

Sponsors:

A limited number of sponsor corner spaces are available for $300 each.  If you are interested in being a sponsor, please contact Suzanne Woodford at 602-318-5689.

General Information for artists and vendors:

The event runs from 6-10 PM. You will find your booth number stenciled on the sidewalk. Booth sizes are approximately 10 x 10. You will need to bring your own display table and chair, and optional canopy. The portico is lit and the walkways are very pedestrian friendly but most artists like to spotlight their art. Electricity is available in the receptacles near each booth but an extension cord is usually needed but only accomodates lower wattage such as desk type lamps, Christmas lights, spotlights, etc. There is no fee to participate and no commission is taken. All work should be original and handmade. Please, no smoking in the booths.  Also, no music CD’s or radios unless you have been approved as a musician.  Please be respectful of your 10 by 10 space limitations in consideration of the artists near you.  An information booth will be located on the SW corner of Main and Macdonald at the OneOhOne Gallery. Registration will open at 4:30. We ask that vendors move their cars to the public lots behind the shops prior to the start of the event. Main Street will not be closed but Macdonald north and south of Main will be closed for the classic car show and fire equipment displays. This directs more people to your booths along the shaded walkway. Thanks for joining us-we look forward to a great evening at 2nd Friday Night Out!  Oh yes, and don’t forget to send an invite to all your friends to attend by having them check out the website at www.2ndFridayNightOut.com!
